Privacy Policy
This policy explains how HarbourPoint Solutions Limited handles your personal data when you use RepairRadar. It is written to meet our obligations under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are
RepairRadar is a trading name of HarbourPoint Solutions Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16783008), with its registered office at Unit 11 Forest Gate, Chippenham, Wiltshire, England, SN15 3RS.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact us at matt@harbourpoint.online.
The data we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Account details — your name, email address, phone number and postcode when you create a driver or garage account.
- Repair request details — vehicle make, model, year, registration, mileage, the description of the work needed and your location.
- Garage profile details — business name, address, contact details, services offered and any logo you upload.
- Quotes, messages and reviews — content you submit through the marketplace.
- Technical data — basic usage and device information collected through privacy-friendly analytics (see our Cookie Policy).
How and why we use your data
We process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- To provide the service (contract) — creating your account, matching drivers with garages, sharing repair requests so garages can quote, and enabling you to compare and choose.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the marketplace safe and reliable, preventing fraud and abuse, and improving the service.
- Legal obligation — meeting our accounting, tax and other legal duties.
- Consent — for any optional analytics or marketing where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing your data
When you post a repair request, the relevant details are shared with local garages so they can prepare a quote. When a garage quotes, its details are shared with you. We do not sell your personal data.
We use trusted service providers to run the platform, including our cloud hosting and database provider. These providers act on our instructions under appropriate data protection terms.
How long we keep your data
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- request portability of data you provided to us; and
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email matt@harbourpoint.online. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security
Access to accounts is protected by authentication, and database access is restricted so that you can only see data you are permitted to see. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
